Beck recruited consumerist photographer Chris Jordan for the video for his 2007 iTunes single, “Time Bomb.” It’s no gerbil-abusing Microsoft Paint odyssey, but the zooming images of mass American consumption paired with Beck’s “There’s a time bomb tickin’” refrain make for a subtle but powerful message.
